We are thrilled to announce that our Technical Services Director, Byrones Khainga, proudly represented the Human Needs Project at World Water Week 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden!
"Bridging Borders:
Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future"
...is this year's theme, highlights the crucial role of water cooperation in fostering global peace and security.
Byrones had a great experience participating in the event, where he connected with international leaders in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector.
"I had a fantastic trip, and I am proud to have represented HNP. We had the opportunity to cross-pollinate global WASH activities and programs, network, and learn. HNP operates on a high moral level in WASH, and it was rewarding to be appreciated from a global perspective. I loved it. Moving forward, the HNP team should step out and share our success stories with the world. We need to tap into the global WASH movement, as we are strongly anchored. We are the world. I bring back valuable lessons and strategic networks that will be crucial for our next steps. We move forward boldly and strongly.” Byrones Khaing, Technical Services Director of HNP
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Grundfos Foundation for their continued support in expanding water access in Kibera, Africa’s largest slum, and for making Byrone’s trip possible.
As we celebrate 10 years since the opening of our town center in Kibera, we’re proud to have distributed 321,138,080 liters of clean water in Kibera and beyond, powered by state-of-the-art Grundfos pumps. Their innovative technology is at the core of our infrastructure, driving our mission to use water as a catalyst for change.
We know that future progress wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our donors and supporters who fuel the growth of the Human Needs Project. Thank you for your ongoing support of our mission. We remain fully committed to building on this progress, ensuring that access to clean water continues to transform lives!
