With fears mounting about the spread of COVID-19, the team at KTC is focusing on our WASH and education services to help the community practice safe social distancing measures as well as learn the latest on how to prevent transmission of the virus.
The team has focused in several areas, including:
Handwashing Stations
Free clean drinking water
Free toilet and shower use for Kibera residents
Signage and development of musical "jingles" to educate community about the virus and to dispel false rumors about it and how it is transmitted.
Partnership with other local organizations to spread the word about resources available, including free COVID testing at neighboring Olympic Primary School.
