Our 2025 Annual Report Is Here: See the Impact You Made Possible in Kibera

Every year, we sit down to add up the numbers — the liters of water, the meals served, the students trained — and every year, we're reminded that behind every number is a person whose life looks a little different because of it. Today, we're proud to share our 2025 Annual Report, and with it, a full picture of what your support made possible in Kibera this year.
In 2025, we distributed 11,311,600 liters of clean drinking water — safe water for every resident who walked through our doors. We opened our fifth water point in Kibera's Maranatha village, now serving more than 700 families every single day. We provided 152,945 toilet and shower uses, ran 4,405 laundry services, trained 666 students in IT, business, and photography, harvested 9,606 kg of fresh produce through our urban farming program, and served 37,773 healthy meals in our cafeteria.

Highlights we're proud of
A ribbon cut, a community served. In 2025, we celebrated the official opening of our fifth water point in Kibera's Maranatha village, alongside co-founder Connie Nielsen, Executive Director Kristina Yarmolich, and our partners at Water Hope.
HNP on the TED stage. Co-founder David Warner took the stage at TEDxMIT to present our holistic, community-led model for poverty alleviation — and the case for scaling it globally.
15 schools, 29,000 students gain food security. In partnership with the World Food Programme, we brought hydroponic farming training to 15 schools across Nairobi, reaching more than 29,000 students through this Climate Smart initiative.
Shaping the conversation before COP. Our team represented Human Needs Project at Rio Climate Action Week in Brazil, joining panels on media, climate action, and community-led solutions.
Strengthening global partnerships. We hosted a California delegation in Kibera, led by CA Secretary of Transportation Toks Omishakin, helping strengthen ties between California and Africa.
Nearly $300,000 raised. Our annual fundraising gala brought our community of supporters together once again — and together, you helped us raise nearly $300,000 for our work in Kibera.
